10 Weeks

Some milestones this week:

Ryo took his first overnight trip to the Bay Area to meet the Pedroni side. We think he likes the Bay Area. We visited Oakland (we even got to see our good friends Angela and Malik!), Alameda, Santa Barbara and Solvang.

He started to eat more too...4 ounces a feeding!

Ryo can hold his head up longer on his own.

Started to do raspberries...likes playing with his saliva!

Sleeps a little longer at night, sometimes a 4-5 hour stretch!

Wearing 3-6 month clothes. He is getting big!

Seems like he wants to start walking before he can crawl...he is constantly pushing himself up using his legs while we carry him.

Loves to coo to anyone who talks to him...and he is a talker!

First time we left Ryo (only 2 hours while we walked around Solvang and did some wine tasting)...we left him with my parents and Aaron's mom. So he was in good hands x 6!

He was such a good boy even though mommy had to go back to work. Fortunately, Obasan (Aaron's mom), stayed with us the whole week.

  1. It's so unbelievable how much change can take place in just 9 weeks. Ryo's face is already so distinct. He is so handsome!

Reading about the section about vaccination made me cry. I have been battling this one myself. Kohsei's pediatrician also insists on getting him vaccinated. Though his French doctor is more reasonable than her American counterpart as she is willing to forgo a number of shots, the persistence of having babies vaccinated remains strong. I try to be neutral about this matter as I may not know enough, but like you, I am aware about the issue on autism and vaccination.

Kohsei is now three weeks old (technically he's still supposed to be in my tummy) and is an extremely alert and curious baby. His daddy makes him crawl (with his head and legs) almost every night. Longest so far is 10 feet. He seems to have a huge appetite, his mommy can't keep up with him sometimes. We are at his grandparents house in New Jersey for the weekend, his first trip out here. He's welcomed with warmth and huge feasts. Lucky baby.

Thanks for sharing Ryo's progress. It's such a joy to see him grow beautifully! Hope to see you three soon.
